OneSight Partners with Prevent Blindness America To Save Sight Nationwide

The program will provide free frames and prescription lenses at any participating LensCrafters, Sears Optical, Target Optical or select Pearle Vision locations to qualified patients who receive a Prevent Blindness America-certified vision screening and eye exam referral.


OptumHealth Donates More Than $2 Million in Eyeglass Frames

An estimated 50,000 frames are now available to Ohio residents through this free eye health program for the uninsured.


Prevent Blindness America and Visionserve Alliance Join Resources to Promote Vision Care Issues

Collectively, the two organizations have grassroots representation in 44 states and the District of Columbia, with national service reach across the country.

Virginia S. Boyce Shoonmaker

Ms. Virginia S. Boyce Schoonmaker served as Executive Director of Prevent Blindness America from 1972-1982 and helped establish the National Eye Institute.


New Technology for Children's Vision Screenings

Prevent Blindness America has approved the PediaVision Assessment Solution (PAS) powered by Plusoptix, as a vision screening device meeting the Prevent Blindness America vision screening protocol.
